The seacoast is a beautiful place to run. Running is great for staying in shape, losing weight, getting fresh air and some time for yourself or with others. It also is a high impact sport than can cause imbalances in the body leading to tightness, pain and eventually injuries. A vinyasa yoga practice is a great compliment to running, and can help keep the body feeling good and injury free.
Yoga develops both strength and flexibility that will help you run more efficiently and reduce the risk of injuries. Yoga also cultivates mental endurance that will pay dividends to your running regime.
Join Erin Holt at the Durham Studio on Thursday October 24th from 6-8pm to learn how to integrate yoga into your running routine. We’ll practice running-specific stretches and exercises for the feet, hamstrings, IT band, hips, core & more! This class is for all levels and is also appropriate as cross training for other athletes, like cyclists, hikers, swimmers and other weekend warriors.
Cost is $15 for members, $20 for non members, and $25 day of event. Register at the studio, or online here.
