3 Bridges Yoga is pleased to announce we will be hosting the SIXTH cycle of the Illumina Yoga 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training starting in September 2022. The program will be led by Kathleen Savoy (RYT 500), Maria Wagner (RYT 500), and Stephanie Paolini (E-RYT 200), all under the supervision of the director of the curriculum Johanna Bell. Upon completion of this program, you will be able to design and lead a principled and creative vinyasa yoga class with attention to detail for student safety, alignment and success. You will also be trained in techniques of meditation and pranayama as well as learning the physiological and anatomical systems of the human body including the Chakras. The training includes study of the historical texts and lineage of yoga as well as the modern day application of the path of yoga in our everyday lives. + Principles, methods and applied techniques of teaching Vinyasa Yoga
+ Techniques of Meditation
+ Techniques of Pranayama (Breathwork)
+ Alignment principles of Vinyasa Yoga
+ The anatomy and physiology of Yoga
+ The Chakra System
+ Simple and complex sequencing
+ Advanced poses and use of yoga props
+ Language, presentation, chanting and music in teaching
+ Theming and spirituality in your classes
+ Teaching modifications for injuries, pregnancies and other special populations
+ Teaching beginners
+ The art of hands-on assisting and adjustments
+ Study of The Yoga Sutras
+ Knowledge of the Eight Limb Path as a path of action
+ The role of the teacher, student and the practice in every day life
+ Ethics, service and the business of yoga

Training Program Format:
Friday Nights  – 5:30pm – 8:30pm (3 hours)
Saturdays  – 9:30am – 6:30pm (9 hours)
Sundays  – 8:00am – 3:30pm (7.5 hours)
+ an additional 24.5 Non-contact hours
9 weekends together will consist of yoga and meditation practice, lecture, posture clinics, practice teaching, group projects and discussion.

Pricing:
Non-Refundable Deposit to Secure Spot ($300), due within one week of acceptance to the training, in addition to the payment option below:

Early bird pricing ($2,800 paid in full by 8/15/2022)
Regular Pricing ($3,00 paid in full before 9/17/2022)
Installment Pricing ($3,200) payable in 9 monthly installments of $355.55, final payment due prior to certificate being issued.

Cancellation Policy:
We cannot offer any refunds for cancellations but a credit towards a future Teacher Training Program may be available. We do not offer refunds if you do not complete the training.

This program is physically and mentally challenging and will also be life changing. You will be practicing yoga several times each weekend as well as teaching each weekend. It will open you, it will lighten you, it will challenge you. Please be sure you are committed, have a steady physical yoga practice and that this program is a fit for you. FAQs:

  1. Do I need to have been practicing for a long time?
    No, but a steady commitment to practicing and learning yoga is paramount for this training. This is a physical training and you will be practicing several times each training weekend.
  2. Do I want to be a yoga teacher in order to take the training?
    No, you will learn a lot more about yoga than just teaching it, but be prepared to teach every weekend of the training.
  3. Can I do the training if I have to miss a weekend?
    No, attendance is mandatory and in order to receive your certification and graduate, you must complete the necessary training hours. We do understand that there may be emergencies or that you may have to miss a few hours of training due to other conflicts. We will allow you to make up the hours in future training sessions. Please contact us further about make up hours.
  4. Can I teach for 3 Bridges when I graduate?
    Possibly, we do hope that many of you will want to teach, and we will do our best to provide an opportunity to do so. You will still have to complete the interview process and teaching for 3 Bridges is not guaranteed.

Can I fail the training?
No, but you must complete the hours and commit to the practice of yoga.

Application Process:
Step 1: Fill out the application. Please provide as much detail as possible.
Step 2: The Program Director will contact you with follow up questions and possibly a face to face meeting to make sure the program is a fit for you.
Step 3: Upon acceptance of your application, you will sign the program contract, pay the non-refundable deposit and then select your payment plan option.
Step 4: Practice and prepare. You will receive more information about the program as it gets closer.

 

3 Bridges Yoga Student Protection and Disclosures

Admission Requirements

Participants must have a passion for yoga and a strong basic practice or one year of study. Participants must attend the training weekends and pay for the training. Students are required to complete the online statement of intent accompanied with a non-refundable application fee.

Enrollment

3 Bridges Yoga offers training once a year. Enrollment is open until the day before opening weekend of the training. Please refer to each course or schedule outline on our website for next available enrollment dates. 

Grading

Students should not miss any sessions. Students are allowed to complete their work as must as needed to receive the program certificate. 3 Bridges Yoga shall issue program and course certificates within 30 days of completion to the students who have met all above requirements, including tuition payment.

Transfer of Credit

3 Bridges Yoga does not offer or accept transfer of credit from programs or courses from other schools, institutes or training providers.

Withdrawal/Refund Policy

After completion of student enrollment no refunds shall be provided under any circumstance per the signed statement of intent. Credit towards a future Teacher Training Program may be available.

Student Grievances

If a student should have a grievance about the school, an instructor, or the program, the student shall formally submit such grievance in writing to the Director, Johanna Bell, [email protected]. The grievance should include specifics about the claim and if possible include the date and location in which it took place. With the assurance that we will take your complaint seriously and do what is within our capability to correct the situation so you are satisfied.
