Who should apply:
This program is designed to develop well trained and yoga alliance certified vinyasa yoga teachers. Applicants should be committed to a steady yoga practice and yoga as a path for overall health and wellness. If you already hold a 200 hour certification, this program is a great study in vinyasa yoga and its application to other styles and populations. If you don’t wish to teach, this program is still a study into a lifelong wellness and spiritual practice.
Yoga Alliance Certification:
3 Bridges is a RYS 200 with the Yoga Alliance. The Yoga Alliance is the largest nonprofit association representing the yoga community and sets standards and guidelines for training programs. The standards for 200 hour training programs can be found here. Upon completing the training, you can register as a RYT 200.
This program is physically and mentally challenging and will also be life changing. You will be practicing yoga several times each weekend as well as teaching each weekend. It will open you, it will lighten you, it will challenge you. Please be sure you are committed, have a steady physical yoga practice and that this program is a fit for you. We are here to answer any further questions and always open to feedback.
1. Do I need to have been practicing for a long time?
No, but a steady commitment to practicing and learning yoga is paramount for this training. This is a physical training and you will be practicing several times each training weekend.
2. Do I want to be a yoga teacher in order to take the training?
No, you will learn a lot more about yoga than just teaching it, but be prepared to teach every weekend of the training.
3. Can I do the training if I have to miss a weekend?
No, attendance is mandatory and in order to receive your certification and graduate, you must complete the necessary training hours. We do understand that there may be emergencies or that you may have to miss a few hours of training due to other conflicts. We will allow you to make up the hours in future training sessions. Please contact us further about make up hours.
4. Can I teach for 3 Bridges when I graduate?
Possibly, we do hope that many of you will want to teach, and we will do our best to provide an opportunity to do so. You will still have to complete the interview process and teaching for 3 Bridges is not guaranteed.
5. Can I fail the training?
No, but you must complete the hours and commit to the practice of yoga.
