Running and Yoga


While the warmer weather is taking your workouts outdoors, don’t forget to take care of yourself inside on your mat! A yoga practice is a great compliment to running, and can help keep the body feeling good and injury free. Yoga develops both strength and flexibility that will help you run more efficiently and reduce the risk of injuries. Yoga also cultivates mental endurance that will pay dividends to your running regime.

Learn how to integrate yoga into your running (and everything else!) routine. We’ll practice running-specific stretches and exercises for the feet, hamstrings, IT band, hips, core & more! This class is for all levels and is also appropriate as cross training for other athletes, like cyclists, hikers, walkers, swimmers and other weekend warriors.

Yoga for Runners will be taught by Erin Holt, an avid runner herself. Class is April 30th from 1:30-3:30pm at the Portsmouth studio.

Cost is $20 members and college students, $25 non-members and $30 day of. Buy Now There are no refunds or exchanges for this class.
