Yin Workshop

This unique workshop will combine Yin yoga with Vinyasa flow and movement. You’ll start rooted with a guided meditation to draw inward and relax. Then, experience a grounding floor-based yin practice to create space and ease in the joints and connective tissues. Expect to linger in postures that will unlock the hips and bring freedom to the spine. Class will transition into a short and sweet flow for all levels for an opportunity to experience the opening and fluidity yin yoga can bring to your vinyasa practice. Then end with an extended relaxation and savasana.

Yin yoga is a therapeutic practice that focuses on the health and flexibility of our body’s connective “yin” tissues. Yin yoga encourages sensation to permeate deep into ligaments, cartilage, and fascia, to improve range of motion in the joints by appropriately stressing these tissues so they stay healthy, lubricated, and durable. Postures are held for 3-5+ minutes, and are supported with yoga props. This practice is suitable for all levels.

Root to Rise will be led by 3BY teacher Niki Floros. Class will be on Sunday April 23rd from 4:00-6:00pm at the York studio. Cost is $20 members, $25 non-members and $30 day of. Buy Now or register at any studio or over the phone. There are no refunds or exchanges for this program.
