Yoga for Runners
The seacoast is a beautiful place to run. Running is great for staying in shape, losing weight, getting fresh air and some time for yourself or with others. It also is a high impact sport than can cause imbalances in the body leading to tightness, pain and eventually injuries. A vinyasa yoga practice is a great compliment to running, and can help keep the body feeling good and injury free.
Yoga develops both strength and flexibility that will help you run more efficiently and reduce the risk of injuries. Yoga also cultivates mental endurance that will pay dividends to your running regime.
Join Erin Holt at the Portsmouth Studio on Wednesday, June 26th from 6-8pm to learn how to integrate yoga into your running routine. We’ll practice running-specific stretches and exercises for the feet, hamstrings, IT band, hips, core & more! This class is for all levels and is also appropriate as cross training for other athletes, like cyclists, hikers, swimmers and other weekend warriors.

Yoga in Prescott Park
Join the Seacoast Yoga Community Every Tuesday at Noon at Prescott Park for a free hour yoga class. Each week will feature a different instructor from area yoga studios. Classes start in June and run through August.
3 Bridges will be leading the July 2nd class. Classes are for all levels and bring your mat, sunglasses and sunscreen. This is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and experience all styles of yoga.
The rain location is at Bikram Yoga Portsmouth, 800 Islington Street in Portsmouth.

Aruba Yoga Vacation 2014 January 12th – 18th
We will be heading back to Aruba in 2014 for yoga, relaxation, fun, sun and more. This will be the vacation of a lifetime and a great way to renew, expand and explore your yoga practice. We had an incredible time in 2013. The Arubian people are super friendly, the food wonderful, the beach outstanding, and the yoga challenging and fun. Check out pictures from last year here.

Live Music with Girish
Girish is coming back to Portsmouth. On Friday, October 18th from 6-7:30pm, you’ll enjoy the spiritual sounds of Girish with a yoga class led by Bjorn. This is one event not to miss and was sold out last year. Girish is an eclectic artist with roots in jazz, world, and sacred music. His musical talents find expression in a wide array of instruments – including tablas, world percussion, guitar, harmonium, and voice. Find out more about him here.
